Spectre is the 4th upgrade of Path 3 for the Monkey Ace in Bloons TD Battles 2. Similarly to its BTD6 pre-41.0 counterpart, it shoots darts and bombs alternatingly at very quick rates, every 0.04s at base. It is cheaper, deals less dart damage but more bomb damage, and attacks faster than its BTD6 counterpart, and utilizes homing statistics prior to Version 33.0, which are the main differences.
Bombs deal 4 damage, darts deal 2 damage and +2 MOAB-class damage, and both attacks deal +2 Ceramic damage. Bombs do not home but darts home slightly more than its BTD6 counterpart. Darts have 15 pierce (18.75 with 2-0-4) and bombs have 30 pierce (45 with 0-1-4).
It costs $20,000, and is unlocked with the purchase of Monkey Ace.

Strategy[]
Summary[]
Spectre pops any bloon type aside from DDTs and shreds quite quickly while having the option for a camo upgrade. With the camo upgrade, it makes a 0-2-4 Monkey Ace a great counter against various grouped camo rushes, including Camo Leads. The 2-0-4 is also very strong at demolishing giant waves of bloons that were caused by popping too many bloons from MOAB-class bloons at once. However, Spectre is poor against DDTs even when given a MIB. Spectre’s DPS is high but can still miss quick-moving Bloons if it isn’t positioned properly.
Tips[]
- 2-0-4 is usually superior for the faster speeds and marginally better dart pierce. 0-2-4 can be useful but may be weaker in total power, and still is weak to DDTs.
- Because of the new buffs to Spectre’s MOAB-popping, the Spectre actually can hold its own against MOAB-class rushes, even on medium-length maps like Salmon Ladder. Practically speaking, it can be used as a rapid anti-stall and/or tackling spaced out Tight MOABs with relative ease.
