The default username is “admin” and the password is “password” on the SURFboard product. Changes made in the SURFboard Manger App will automatically be pushed to the SURFboard product. NOTE: For network security purposes, ARRIS recommends to change the default admin password after logging on for the first time.

But how many surfboards does an average surfer need? Well, the answer to that is FOUR. Yes, an average surfer needs four surfboards but for first time surfers and beginners having one will be enough for now, you can even hire a surfboard from local shops.

A surfboard shaper is someone who designs and builds surfboards. The process of surfboard shaping has evolved over the years, and the shaper often tailors his or her work to meet the requirements of a client or a certain wave. Surfboard shapers can be independent or work in collaboration with mass-production companies.

However, we also get that not everybody has the means to embellish their quiver with as many surfboards as they'd like. In that case, having four surfboards that cover all wave conditions will be enough.

A good rule of thumb for beginner surfboards is to start with a longboard that is about 3 feet longer than your height. So if you're 5'6” to 6'0” tall, an 8'6” to 9'0” longboard would be pretty ideal.

Beginner boards, often made from foam, are generally more affordable, starting around $200-$400. Intermediate boards, usually made from epoxy, can range from $500-$800. Advanced boards, custom-made or constructed from high-end materials like carbon fiber, can cost $1,000 or more.

The 2+1 is a very common fin set up, found on an array of boards including eggs, funboards, mini mal surfboards and longboards. The two side bites help to stabilise the board giving you more control, making this set up better for beginner and intermediate surfers.
