How to cook ham nugget with honey glaze

  1. Preheat oven broiler to high. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper (if desired – just make sure to watch the ham once it’s broiling so the paper doesn’t get too smokey or catch fire – it’s never happened to me, just a warning!).
  2. Cut the baked ham in half (you can leave it whole, but there’s more surface area for the glaze to coat the ham if you cut it in half once it cools 5-15 minutes).
  3. Use a spoon and / or basting brush to brush the glaze on all sides of the ham. Broil ham nugget with glaze on top for 3-5 minutes in the oven, until it’s bubbly and a bit caramelized. Let cool and enjoy.

FAQs

What’s a ham nugget made of?

The ham nugget from Wellshire Farms seen in this recipe demonstration is made of pork and flavored with sugar, sea salt, vinegar, honey, and maple sugar.

Is it necessary to glaze a ham?

No, but you’ll want to add a sauce to amp up the flavor. I usually glaze ham because it makes a holiday meal more fancy and brings a lot of flavor. You can cook your ham without any glaze at all, but if you want that mouthwatering sweet and savory goodness you think of when you think of ham you will want to use a glaze. My honey glaze is easy to make, even for an inexperienced cook.

What can I serve with honey glazed ham nugget?

Serve your honey glazed ham nugget with fingerling potatoes, air fryer sweet potato tots, a fresh peach salad, family-style stuffed shells, or another pasta side.
